John attended his first Fourth of July parade in Piedmont today with his sisters. It's much bigger than it was when I was a kid (it's only been going for forty-five years), but still feels like a small town parade. Carlton Chan and family drove their vintage car, and Ken DeCrosta is recording images of it, I believe. Floats still throw candy for the kids to grab at, but also give away stuffed toys now. Happy Fourth to all our friends and The United States of America.
